Becks or Bucks?

It's kinda sad to see Beckham leaving. He might not be one of the best player in the world, but he has his own ability that makes him so unique in the field.

I didn't like him cuz he is handsome. It's just that you don't see many players with such accurate passing and free kicks. Also, he is a ex-MU player!!

Many people criticise him for going to LA Galaxy purely for money and his wife's Hollywood career. Well, I kinda agree with that. Who doesn't love money after all, and this transfer might give him a ticket to Hollywood, or becoming the next 007, Hollywood superstar? WHO KNOWS??!!

For the money involved in the transfer, that's really a huge sum. Over the five years at the Galaxy, Beckham could potentially make around $275 millon. The annual breakdown of this is:
- $10 million salary
- $25 million from existing sponsorship deals with Motorola, Pepsi, Gillette and Volkswagen
- $10 million from shirt sales.
- $10 million return from stakes in the club.

This means that Beckham will receive around $55 million a year, equating to $275 million over the five years of the deal. This figure could increase if Beckham receives a pay raise from any of the parties involved.
